[Vesper has taken a day or so to get everything under control before addressing the Barge at large, or even venturing outside her room. Despite the decidedly rocky start to her time here, she's still very much interested in making a good first impression, because it doesn't take an idiot to know how important those are, and she is certainly not an idiot.

So when she turns on the camera, there is absolutely no reason for anyone to suspect that anything's wrong or upsetting her. She's very well put together - her dark hair is tied back from her face in a simple but stylish bun, and her dark colored blouse is similarly uncomplicated but classy - and wastes no time getting down to business.]

Good evening. My name is Vesper Lynd, and I've accepted an offer to be a warden here for the foreseeable future. I'm looking forward to working with all of you.

[Her tone changes slightly, not anywhere close to openly mocking the Admiral or questioning his judgment, but there's certainly a slight edge to it, because seriously, this seems really inefficient and ridiculous.] And if anyone has any advice or information they'd like to offer, the Admiral did seem to be a bit vague on some of the details of what to actually expect.

[Warden Filter]

[She wasn't sure she actually wanted to say this, but as apparently should be expected by now, concern is winning out over common sense, and she's already wondering how much she's going to be kicking herself over this later.]

Specifically, I was wondering if there was any particular way to convince a passenger [She's reluctant to say inmate, because she knows enough about how this place works to know how they get here and what that means, and she doesn't want to think about Bond dying, even if he was certainly the opposite of pleased to see her.] who seems to think this is all an elaborate ruse that this is, in fact, reality.

[Although she realizes how utterly ridiculous that sounds, given where they are and how some of them came here, and she manages a small, wry smile.] Or as close to reality as we're likely to get, anyway.

Too often, I'm afraid. Nine out of ten inmates vanish before they get a chance to graduate.

Hi there! I'm Chromie!

[She raises a little hand well above her own shoulder level to shake.]

It's good to meet you in person.

Oh, yes. [Chromie busies herself in the small bag at her side.]

I was very confused for my first port, and flood for that matter, and I thought the least I could do was to help other arrivals prepare.

[The gnome produces a handwritten leaflet and offers it up.]

There we are!

I've been on and off the Barge for several years. It seems to drop me off at home and pick me back up at the oddest moments.

I wish I could say it was something you get used to. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to happen to everyone.
