I'd say, learn something. Acquire a new skill. If you don't like learning from books, there are plenty of people on the ship just as bored as everyone else who might offer to teach.

Well, I expanded from the skillset I needed for my previous job, but I can understand how that might not be useful for everyone. I still have a list of 'if I'd had more spare time I would've...' that I've barely even touched yet.
